The police rescued the puppy from a sewer pit and then adopted him.
Lucky dog, a police officer heard the dog’s cries and quickly intervened to save him.
Police officers with the St. Lucie, Florida, area sheriff’s office were leaving a call when they heard something that made them stop: an almost imperceptible whine emanating from a septic tank.
They discovered a puppy that was about to drown. With no place to go, one of the officers thought it was fate that they discovered the puppy and adopted it on the spot.
The faint sobs from an empty field caught the deputy’s attention just as they were about to leave the call they had just finished. Many people probably would have chosen to ignore them, but not these men.
One of the officers, James Gettings, discovered the little dog struggling to stay afloat in a septic tank. When he was rescued, he was scared, exhausted and about to give up.
They bathed him repeatedly until he smelled like dog again, and then they started looking for his family. However, it seems that there was none, and Gettings thought that their meeting must be predetermined by fate.
He then took him home and gave him the name Puddle. Now that he is growing up, he has everything he needs and more.
