All This Couple Wanted Was to Have a Baby but Fate Had Quite Extraordinary Plans for Them!
One year on, they were a couple and are now the proud parents of five children! Sarah and Andy have moved things around them at breakneck speed. While anyone might think twice about having five children, Sarah and Andy never did. The couple knew what they didn’t have in the past and how it made their lives complete. “We wouldn’t give up these babies for anything in the world,” says Sarah in an interview. “Besides, maybe it’s all connected,” Andy adds. Andrew and Abigail now have 7 children!
“I was shocked and a little overwhelmed because I thought about it, added it up and thought, wow, if they go to term, we have about five babies in eight months. But we were really excited because it was something we’d dreamed about and wanted for years.”
A popular family
The judges became famous in no time. People wanted to know more about their three daughters and two sons, and how they were getting on. They were popular on Facebook as the happiest couple, and everyone loved the family photos they posted from time to time. Their firm, consistent decisions deserve applause: “I don’t know why people think we’re so interesting. We’re not the only family to have multiple sets of babies.” She adds, “I don’t know if we’re interesting. We’re very busy, I can tell you that.”
Charitable communities helped
The family was ready to expand by heart, but we all face budget problems, and so did the Justice family. However, everyone they knew, family, friends, neighbors and their community were invaluable in supporting the family of 7, which certainly made it a little easier for the couple to sleep, now and then though!
Too many babysitters
Andy says in an interview: “We don’t sleep much, obviously. We don’t sit much either”. Everyone was kind to the judges, as people volunteered to look after their five children under the age of one while the couple went off to work. In the photo above, the children’s grandmother can be seen helping to look after them.
Sufficient supplies given
Andy expresses his gratitude: “So far, everything has been donated. We’ve been very, very blessed.” The couple remembers needing diapers at any time of day, but never needing to go to the store to buy them. From baby carriages to bottles, everything was donated by families all over Oklahoma. Even the blankets, formula and clothes, Andy explains, “It was more than a little ironic.” They bought a larger van to make travel easier. Members of Eastland Baptist Church in Tulsa even sent frozen food for the couples, which was a big help.
Who’s who?
And yes, they had a bit of trouble recognizing the triplets. The age difference of a few months between the girls and boys was easy to recognize, as were the boys. The only problem with the triplets was solved by applying different colors of nail polish to each of them.
Yes, that’s right, the couple now have triplets, twins and a newborn, Caleb, born in 2016. The family had every reason to rejoice. And yet, it was another big task for the couple, but don’t you think they’re getting used to it now! So Caleb was the family’s first non-multiple child, and while his older siblings were potty-trained by Sarah and Andy, he was a welcome addition to the clan.
A warm welcome
In an interview, Sarah says: “All the kids love their ‘baby Caleb’. He has the best fan club ever, and we can’t imagine life without the world’s most adorable and beloved little guy”. The judges have now become accustomed to finding humor in everything, and consider it an adventure rather than a challenge.
Blessed by solidarity
Sarah says: “My husband says we’re only making babies, that everything else in life has pretty much stopped. But it’s something we wanted so badly that we love it. That’s not to say it’s not a lot of work and we’re not very tired, but it’s great. We really love having these kids.
“We’re never short of playmates and we strive to promote love and care between siblings. Our children will always have a friend and will never feel lonely.”
